Joseph Hutton

Joseph Hunton is not only experienced in treating RSIs, but he has also suffered from the painful and debilitating effects of them. It was that experience that initially led him to seek advanced training in the treatment of RSIs from Sharon Butler, one of the countries leading authorities in alternative treatment for RSIs, and the author of "Conquering Carpal Tunnel Syndrome". By the end of this training, his symptoms were reduced by more than 90%. This event began his passion for and work to prevent and eliminate the disabling symptoms of RSIs.

Joseph is a 1998 graduate of the Northwest Hellerwork School and has completed many advanced professional trainings related to RSI work. In addition to his private practice in the Wallingford area of Seattle, Joseph has worked in some of the top Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Clinics in the Seattle area.

Joseph's strength is connecting with his clients through sensitive touch and listening skills. His genuine warmth and non-judgmental attitude create a safe space in which to allow the session to unfold. (Hear what clients have to say about him.) "When you create a container for people to do their work the body's powerful orientation towards health works miracles," says Joseph.

Over the years, Joseph has worked with many RSI suffers. He continues to have an extremely high success rate in preventing, reducing, and eliminating RSI symptoms. His dynamic treatment protocol combines several different modalities including the the structural bodywork of Hellerwork, the movement and ergonomic work of Judith Aston, the myofascial meridian work of Tom Myers, the Visceral Manipulation work of Osteopath Jean-Pierre Barral, and the self care stretches developed by Sharon Butler.

Joseph has brought his expertise to the public arena through lectures, workshops, and articles. He regularly produces workshops for health care practitioners on prevention, assessment, and treatment of RSIs. Wanting to reach people in the work place he has developed employee-training programs espousing the merits of education and prevention.
