What is bodywork?
Bodywork is a generic term used to describe different types of therapeutic massage or manual therapy techniques. It is used to differentiate between Swedish or spa massage whose primary focus is relaxation, and therapeutic massage whose focus is recovery from injury. Bodywork indicates "hands on" and "working with the body" modalities.

When I receive the bodywork will it hurt?
RSI Solutions therapeutic bodywork ranges from strong deep tissue work to gentle functional release techniques. Generally the bodywork feels great, like a slow deep massage. In some cases when the muscle tissue is severely injured, there will be some discomfort. However, we will work sensitively with you to find a level of pressure and speed that your body can accept.

How many treatment sessions will I need?
There are many variables which determine number of treatment sessions needed: the severity of your condition; how long you've been experiencing the symptoms; the condition of your muscle tissue; how diligent are you at following the self care program, etc.
RSI Solution's treatment protocol works in sections of six sessions. We evaluate your progress after each section, and create a plan of care for the next section of treatment. The average number of treatment sessions is between 6 and 18 depending on the severity of your condition. Learn more about our treatment programs.

Will my RSI symptoms ever go away completely?
This is a difficult to question to answer. There are many variables that determine how completely your condition will resolve. The severity of and how long the symptoms have been present are the strongest determinates. Some clients have 100% relief others get to 75%.
What is clear is that muscle tissue that has been injured tends to pick up strain easier than healthy tissue. In many cases you must manage your activities and be aware of the tension and strain in your body. Our education and self care programs will teach you to become the expert of your body and managing your symptoms.
